Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle 8k on March 25 in Chicago, IL.
With St. Patrick’s Day coming up soon, I’m sure you’re on the look out for a fun race to do! If you are looking at one in Chicago, IL, then I’ve found it! Why this one? Let me tell you….
The distance of 8k! This isn’t your typical 5k or 10k people. Have you ever ran a 5k and thought you still had more in you? Have you ever ran a 10k and thought that was a bit much for your enjoyment? Or do you just want a new PR for a race distance you don’t get very often? The 8k is perfect then! A little less than 5 miles of fun.
Post race party! Stay after for live music and redeem your drink ticket off your race bib for one (1) Michelob ULTRA. If the party ends but you still want to keep it going, you’re in luck! There will be an after party at Scout Waterhouse & Kitchen (1301 S. Wabash Ave.) on Sunday, March 25 from 2 p.m. to 1 a.m. Shamrock Shuffle participants who bring their race bib will receive a ticket that can be redeemed for one (1) Michelob ULTRA.
A training program! That’s right, The Nike+ Run Club official Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle 8K training program is designed to help you race your best on Sunday, March 25. Check it out here.
Expo and swag! Who doesn’t love a race with a nice expo! And with Nike being one of the sponsors, you can expect a nice Nike participant running shirt in your packet pickup!
DISCOUNT! Most importantly! Use code “SHUFFLE” to save $10 on race entry through this link: http://haku.ly/dd2567!

I started lifting once a week at the facility to do things that I can’t do at the apartment. Two of the three times I have ran to the facility, but this past week my back wasn’t feeling too good so I didn’t run. I have a slight scoliosis that tends to act up when I lift and run and so my back gets really tight and doesn’t have the mobility as it normally does. So I’m taking it a day at a time and incorporating the lifting since I miss that.
