Workouts

I actually didn’t run this week. Looking forward with the weather, it’s looking pretty promising though. This past week I wasn’t feeling the greatest, so I passed on the opportunities. Yesterday, I started back lifting again though. Going to do 1 day at the gym, 1 day at home with equipment and then 1 day at home stretching/mobility. Then my running will be as I feel, for now. This is the workout I did yesterday! I’m calling it a full body workout, because well, my whole body hurts today.

Wednesday’s Run

  1. I’m soooo sore from lifting.
  2. Man we are going pretty quick today.
  3. Ugh this wind sucks running against it.
  4. Did that old man just say “makes the old man want to feel ya up?”
  5. OOOOO “makes the old man feel young” still creepy.
  6. UGH another mile I have to add on.
  7. Need water first

Wednesday’s Workout

Seated Squats 3 sets of 8, constant 75lbs
Seated Rows 4 sets of 6, increasing 50, 60, 60, 60lbs
Roman Deadlift 3 sets of 8, constant 55 lbs
Full Squat 3 sets of 8, constant 80lbs
Dumbbell Curls 3 sets of 12, constant 15lbs
Dead Lift 4 sets of 6, increasing 45, 55, 65, 75lbs
Lat Pull Downs 3 sets of 8, constant 40lbs

 

Thursday’s Run

20 minute jog in the morning (jog meaning nothing faster than 8:30, and we basically went 9-10min pace)

Afternoon run

5 Miles in 40:07 [8:01 per mile]

Thoughts during the run:

  1. My gosh lifting makes my quads hurt so bad.
  2. I have to pee.
  3. Thank goodness AGAIN for this porta potty.
  4. I’m glad Jessica is running with us today.
  5. It’s perfect weather out. Sports bra and spandex.
  6. What a precious dog!!

Now for the fun news, look what came!!

My mother sent me a package!!! A tech long sleeve, a purse, some heart socks, cheesecake kisses and life savers. The bag is basically perfect and exactly what I’ve been looking for and the long sleeve has legit thumb holes!!! Open-mouthed smile 

I have the best family. Now I’m off to running, even though I would rather be swinging on wooden swing sets. I remember sometimes in high school when we went to a park to run we would take a break and swing on the swings or coach would let us swing after our run. hah
