  1. I’m soooo sore from lifting.
  2. Man we are going pretty quick today.
  3. Ugh this wind sucks running against it.
  4. Did that old man just say “makes the old man want to feel ya up?”
  5. OOOOO “makes the old man feel young” still creepy.
  6. UGH another mile I have to add on.
  7. Need water first

Wednesday’s Workout

Seated Squats 3 sets of 8, constant 75lbs
Seated Rows 4 sets of 6, increasing 50, 60, 60, 60lbs
Roman Deadlift 3 sets of 8, constant 55 lbs
Full Squat 3 sets of 8, constant 80lbs
Dumbbell Curls 3 sets of 12, constant 15lbs
Dead Lift 4 sets of 6, increasing 45, 55, 65, 75lbs
Lat Pull Downs 3 sets of 8, constant 40lbs

 

Thursday’s Run

20 minute jog in the morning (jog meaning nothing faster than 8:30, and we basically went 9-10min pace)

Afternoon run

5 Miles in 40:07 [8:01 per mile]

Thoughts during the run:

  1. My gosh lifting makes my quads hurt so bad.
  2. I have to pee.
  3. Thank goodness AGAIN for this porta potty.
  4. I’m glad Jessica is running with us today.
  5. It’s perfect weather out. Sports bra and spandex.
  6. What a precious dog!!

Now for the fun news, look what came!!

My mother sent me a package!!! A tech long sleeve, a purse, some heart socks, cheesecake kisses and life savers. The bag is basically perfect and exactly what I’ve been looking for and the long sleeve has legit thumb holes!!! Open-mouthed smile 

I have the best family. Now I’m off to running, even though I would rather be swinging on wooden swing sets. I remember sometimes in high school when we went to a park to run we would take a break and swing on the swings or coach would let us swing after our run. hah

  1. Man my legs are sore.
  2. My ankles are the most sore.
  3. It’s nice to have mileage again.
  4. Man we are picking up speed.
  5. I was going to take it easy today.
  6. Running a mile on the track sucks.
  7. The wind is really bad.

Monday’s Workout

Had 6 x 80m striders.

Then had weightlifting

Dumbell Bench 4 sets of 6, increasing weight 10lb, 15lb, 20lb, 20lb
Tricep Press 2 sets of 12, constant weight 20 lbs
Incline Dumbell Bench 4 sets of 6, constant 15 lbs
Dumbell Fly 3 sets of 12, constant 10 lbs
Overhead Pull 3 sets of 12, constant 15 lbs
Weighted Dips 3 sets of 15, constant no weight, just body

 

Thoughts while lifting:

  1. Man I am really weak.
  2. My arms are shaking.
  3. I feel like I’m going to pass out.
  4. I don’t think I can hold my body up for these dips.
  5. My wrists hurt too.

Tuesday’s Run

4 Miles in 33:03 [8:15 per mile]

Finally got an easy run in.

Thoughts on run:

  1. Man I have to pee really bad.
  2. My ankles are still sore
  3. I am way too overdressed, it is hot out.
  4. I like this route so much.
  5. I think I’m only going to do 4 miles today.
  6. Yeah definitely not 5, it’s too hot and I am overheating.
  7. Good thing they had that porta potty there.

Tuesday’s Workout

Had core afterwards.

Core Set I

Crunches 30 sec
Leg hold at 3 in 30 sec
Russian Twists 30 sec
Jackknives 30 sec
Scissor Switch 30 sec
Bicycles 30 sec
Plank(but is now V hold) 30 sec

2 times through.

Then Core Set II

Bridge 30 sec
Jane Fonda’s 30 sec each side
IT Band Hip Lifts 30 sec each side
Fire Hydrants 30 sec each side
Leg raise set 60 second each side
Single Leg Bridge 30 sec each side
Bridged Leg Lift 30 sec each side

2 times through.

Then the best part of the day!!!!

Have an off day from running. Instead of running we have aqua jogging today in the pool.

So since we didn’t have practice this morning I went and did my weight lifting.

Let’s just say my arms felt like jelly and it was hard to even turn my steering wheel.

Well I just got back from my Chemistry Recitation. Definitely understanding it more than I did before.

Oh how I love being busy

First up let’s recap some more things that have happened.

I finally used the $40 CSN giftcard I won in a giveaway and I bought this blanket.

I guess it can be a bookmark too. But since she runs in highschool, they don’t allow jewelry, so I made it so she can take it on and off.

Had a very easy run this morning.

Had a light breakfast because I had to run again in 30 minutes. Had a toasted peanut butter sandwich, strawberry yogurt with corn flakes and 2 sausage links.

Had a mile time trial in my jogging/walking for fitness class. Dogged it because there’s no need to all out run a mile when I’m training for cross country and have a meet this weekend.

So I ran 7:30 for my mile hah.

Everything looked gross so of course the last resort is always pizza. The pasta today was actually really good!!

Also got my daily orange juice as well as a bowl of grapes.

Had a meeting at 3pm to go over some things for cross.

Then it was time for weights. I don’t know exactly what everything is called but this is what we are doing so far.

triceps with 15 lbs: 3 reps of 12.

Bench press with 10 lbs: 3 reps of 12

Curls with 10 lbs: 3 reps of 12

Not sure what they are called but you put one leg on the bench and relax your arm with a weight and then lift up. 10lbs: 3 reps of 12 with each arm.

Leg presses with 25 lbs and the machine weight itself: 3 reps of 12

Then this one thing that I have no idea what its called but you stand in the middle and lift it up around you. You can add weight to it, but it’s already really heavy so we just lift the bar and thing itself: 3 reps of 12

I think that’s all. It’s just preparing us for actual weights in about 2 weeks.

Also nothing good again, so resulted with more pizza. Thought the potatoes were cheesy, definitely not. Some very spicy kind. I ate about half still.

Then some other things I did today:

- took my online Chem quiz that is due Monday. First time I got an 8/10, second time I got a 10/10. You can take it up to 5 times. I think I’m still going to take it the other 3 times because I print out the questions and circle my answers. There are new questions each time. I think it’ll give me more sample problems that might be on the test. Plus your best score is taken and I already got a perfect score.

- Started memorizing the elements in Chem. They are due Thursday and I have over half the stack memorized so far

- Watched last nights Big Brother US (it’s getting intense now that there are less people!)
