I have been a little MIA as I jump right back into football season and traveling back and forth to KC, but I will be back to regular posting next week. Last year when I saw the RD Entrepreneur Symposium, I knew I had to enroll. I was working at a University as a sports dietitian and keeping my eyes out on opportunity that would allow me to have my life back. I’ve always been intrigued by the idea of being my own boss and creating my own schedule. If you know me, then you will know that I’ve wanted to eventually have a family and be able to spend time with my (future) kids. So while I was in the midst of losing myself into my job, putting everything I had into the university, athletes and staff, I dropped the money for this symposium.

So there’s always some latest fad to be following when it comes to “dieting.” The thing that irks me the most is that nothing about “dieting” is sustainable. People who are looking at “dieting,” are wanting just quick results and then wonder why they can’t sustain the recent changes to their body. Whatever your goal is, whether it’s to lose fat, build muscle, look better in that bikini or increase energy, it takes a lifestyle change. It takes working with someone educated to help you make sustainable changes. Honestly, I’m sure most of us could continue to eat the things we like, but what it really comes down to is portion sizes and timing of intake.
