A return to blogworld

I’m back! I bet you missed me :)

I went to Longboat Key, Florida near Sarasota. It was a wonderful 2 weeks but always nice to return home after a vacation.

Let’s see…I’ll start with the food.

New Pass Grill & Bait Shop

Definitely have to get the New Pass Burger with cheese!! Incredible! Probably the best burger I’ve ever had.

Chart House Restaurant

Shrimp Fresca. Very wonderful, the shrimp was parmesan crusted and on top angel hair pasta with tomatoes.

Cafe on the Beach

I had the all you can eat pancakes and sausage. You walk up to this cage like area and cooks are in it cooking the pancakes and sausage. It’s right on the beach too and a really neat experience.

Kilwin’s

I had some mint chocolate chip ice cream and some cappuccino chocolate chip ice cream. Both incredibly delicious! I also got some cookies n cream fudge but wasn’t a big fan of the vanilla fudge taste. It was a really cool place though because they were making fudge on the stone slabs and it was cool to watch them make the treats :)

The Lazy Lobster

Lobster Mac N Cheese was really good!

 

Note: Everywhere we ate was extremely good!!

Hope all is well. I’ve been reading some blogs but haven’t been able to read them all. Vacation is a time for relaxation so when the google reader gets really high in blogs unread, I have to just say “mark all as read.”

Don’t be fooled…these aren’t just any hotdog….they are chili cheese dogs. Yes that is right, they taste just like chili cheese hot dogs without all the mess. How about that?

Here’s a break down of May’s Running

As you can see starting with may 24th was my first week of training again. I am now on my way to building for cross country season. The other weeks before were just recovery from the half marathon and maintaining my fitness.

Miles in May   49.28 (how pitiful hahahaah)
